At the end of the 6° edition of the wine competition “Matilde di Canossa – Terre di Lambrusco”, that saw protagonists the best wineries and vineyards in the areas of Reggio Emilia, Modena, Parma e Mantova, ITINERE had the opportunity to organize a tour of 5 days for Kurt Ganapathy, reporter of the wine and food magazine “Cuisine & Wine Asia“, in a journey in search of the best products of our lands.
“It was time to discover the heart of this land with a soul.”
His “education on true lambrusco and Emilian cuisine” began in Scandiano between the wines of Colli di Scandiano e Canossa DOC and tagliatelle al ragù, erbazzone slices, cappelletti in capon broth e pumpkin risotto with balsamic vinegar.
The tour continues with the discovery of Parmigiano Reggiano’s cheese factory (with tasting and tips “to help people avoid the fakes”), and then to dive into the Lambrusco world, between the numerous winery to discover the “typical qualities of the key production zones”.
