Food Immersion: the creative cooking Festival will take place from 30th September to 2nd October, 2016 in San Pietro Cloisters in Reggio Emilia. The 5th edition of this creative cooking festival will focus on the theme of “Nudo e Crudo” (naked truth), which will be showing varieties of raw food and it will make understand how the food has ancient origins as well as recent tendencies. Creative food is a chance to “test and taste” different styles and approaches to eating and cooking as acts of knowing, enjoying and sharing. The festival offers a refined menu of workshops for grown-ups and kids : editorial encounters, street fooders, show cooking, music performances, markets, and bookshops. It will be a full program of disparate activities that will accompany the three-day celebration.

Food Immersion Festival has reported a radical growth over the years, recording 7500 attendees in the last edition and it welcomed chef, producers, little shops, designers, photographers, editors, musicians.

From the 27th to the 30th of June ITINERE and CLUB DI PRODOTTO REGGIO TRICOLORE will organise, in collaboration with Apt Servizi and Emilia Romagna Region an Educational Tour that will take place on the occasion of the award ceremony “Matilde di Canossa – Terre di Lambrusco” with the aim of enhancing the knowledge of Lambrusco reggiano.

The Award Ceremony of the wine competition “Matilde di Canossa – Terre di Lambrusco” organized by the Reggio Emilia Chamber of Commerce, will see different producers competing on this wine, and it will take place on Wednesday, 29 of June at 6.00 p.m. in Teatro Valli in Reggio Emilia.

Six Scandinavian reporters specialized in food and wine magazines, will participate in the event. They write for “Berlingske”  – 185 thousand Readers – a Danish newspaper; “Allt om Mat” – about 450 thousand Readers – ; “Mad & Bolig”- 175 thousand reader – the monthly magazine of the Danish food and wine; “Se og Hør” – 162 thousand Readers – a weekly Norway; “KK” – 120.000 unique visitors a day – the online Norwegian women’s magazine; “Scandinavian Traveler” the Review board of the Sweedish airline SAS – about one million and 400 thousand Readers.

After the journalists arrival at Bologna airport, in the afternoon there will be a Bismantova Rock excursion in e-bike together with trekking activity. The following day the guests will take part in an interesting visit at a dairy farm, where the Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese is produced and they will be hosted in a vinegar farm that produces the Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Reggio Emilia. They will continue with a cooking class at Cavazzone farm and with a guided tour of the Tricolour City: Reggio Emilia. The gourmet tour will end on Thursday, the 30th of June, where the Scandinavians journalists and bloggers will have an half-day visit at few Lambrusco wineries.

From 2nd to 5th of June ITINERE and CLUB DI PRODOTTO REGGIO TRICOLORE have organized a new Educational Tour : “The thousand faces of the via Emilia”, an outline of all high-quality products offered by Emilia Romagna. This time the guests are six Austrian and German journalists of the most famous newspapers: Rhein Main Presse, Saarbrücker Zeitung, the Salzburger Nachrichten, the Kleine Zeitung Austria and the Swiss travel magazine Migros Magazin .

The tour will start with a pleasent walking in Bologna, the UNESCO Creative City of Music, and a visit to the Museum of Music. In the afternoon the visitors will take part in a cooking lesson, seeing the delicacy and genuineness of the Emilian homemade pasta with their own eyes.

On friday, June 3, the group will stop in Modena to visit the Enzo Ferrari Museum and then the historical centre. The afternoon will be dedicated to reach an Acetaia to know how the Traditional Balsamic Vinegar is made.
On saturday, June 4, in the morning, the reporters will move to Reggio Emilia where they will visit “Fotografia Europea 2016”, an international photographic exhibition focused on Via Emilia and its history. Later a bike tour will start from Prampolini Square, discovering the most lovely areas of the town. After the ride, it could not miss a delicious lunch of local products in one of the oldest “salumeria” in  Reggio Emilia’s historical heart. In the afternoon, the guests will stop in a winery for tasting the typical Lambrusco Reggiano, followed by a tour in the lands of Matilde di Canossa, one of the most important female figures of the italian Middle Ages. After passing Bianello Oasis, the journalists will visit to the famous Canossa Castle, known for the humiliation inflicted by Pope Gregory VII to the Emperor Henry IV. In this enchanting place surrounded by nature, the guests will have the opportunity to visit the ruins and the Canossa National Museum.

The last day the group will reach a cheese factory and they will follow the whole Parmigiano Reggiano‘s processing phases, with a tasting in its different seasonings.

For the Women Champions League Final, held in Reggio Emilia last May 26, ITINERE has organized the incoming of the management and most of Olympique Lyonnais‘ staff: 140 people in total.

After arriving at Bologna airport, guests have reached Reggio Emilia with our drivers and our three tour leaders where, once unloaded the luggage, could not miss a walk through the cultural wonders of the historic city center. The staff visited the most beautiful squares of Reggio Emilia: Prampolini Square, where overlooks the imposing Duomo, San Prospero Square, with the ancient church dedicated to the Bishop Prospero, the patron of the city, and Fontanesi Square.
At 4.00pm, a generous buffet was waiting for them, in the garden of a prestigious hotel nearby the Mapei Stadium. A tasty “snack” before the match, all strictly on traditional Emilian cuisine: erbazzone, piadine, Parma Ham, the unique King of Cheeses, the Parmigiano Reggiano and other specialities from our territory. Finally, gourmet desserts and fruits.
Then, at 6.00pm, the Final’s kick-off: OL and Wolfburg for the trophy. ITINERE accompanied the staff in the stands and watched the whole match. After cheering for the victory of the OL, again on the buses to go back to Bologna airport.

The hospitality was greatly appreciated by the staff, who thanked Itinere for the professionalism and the accuracy with which they organized all the incoming activities. ITINERE has been very proud to satisfy the needs of the guests. Such an important event in the world of sport has, in fact, constituted an opportunity to promote the entire city of Reggio Emilia and the entire Emilian territory.
