Discover Via Emilia – Modena & Reggio Emilia. This is the name of the Press Tour USA that will take place between Modena and Reggio Emilia on Friday, June, the 9th in collaboration with APT Servizi Emilia Romagna.
Itinere will deal with the incoming and the stay of 6 journalists: after a lovely welcome by our staff we will start with a walking tour of the historical city center including the prestigious Berengo Gardin Exhibition at San Pietro Cloisters to visit the international cultural festival of European Photography (Fotografia Europea), an exhibition dedicated to contemporary photography that takes place in Reggio Emilia every year. The festival is stationated in different locations of the city, both public and private, where everything is related to a specific theme that changes every year. Time maps. Memory, archives, future is the 2017 theme.
Berengo Gardin exhibition investigates how an archive becomes the space for reflection and creation, not only a place where the memory of one’s work is stored. This will offer the opportunity to observe the creative process of the famed Italian photographer by exploring his work tools: his cameras and equipment, as well as his contact prints, documents, videos showing the atelier, the archives and the works of one of the most important Italian photographers.
The extraordinary opening of the Room of Tricolor (Sala del Tricolore) designed by the architect Ludovico Bolognini as the archive of the ducal family of Este. Lamborghini museum opens the doors to our guests and here they have the opportunity to discover the passion and the magic of the Motor Valley experience through a factory tour. Finally a delicious lunch in an enchanting restaurant in the ancient city center, a classical palace where the tradition is mixed with innovation, creativity and passion. This is a refined location sourrounded by a fascinating garden; in other words, a magic place.
