In the afternoon guided visit of Reggio Emilia city centre to discover the Cathedral, the Basilica of San Prospero, Fontanesi Square, the current exhibition at Palazzo Magnani and to do some shopping. SECOND DAY: Breakfast at the hotel. Visit at Museo Ferrari Maranello. Transfer to Modena for a walk in the historical centre. Buffet lunch with typical products. Visit to a producer of Balsamic Vinegar and tasting. Once returned in Reggio Emilia, dinner in a traditional restaurant. Overnight stay at the hotel.
THIRD DAY: Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, transfer to the northern area of Parma to visit a producer of Culatello di Zibello with tasting to discover its secrets. Lunch in a traditional “osteria”. Afternoon at leisure in the refined city of Parma. Dinner at leisure and overnight stay at the hotel.
FOURTH DAY: Arrival in Romagna, traditional lunch in the city centre of Rimini. In the afternoon guided visit of the Roman Rimini, the ancient Ariminum where Julius Caesar pronounced his famous speech “The die is taken”. Visit the Arch of Augustus, the Forum, the Tiberius Bridge, and then move on to the medieval part of town with the imposing Castel Sismondo and the Cathedral, one of the first masterpieces of the Renaissance. Transfer to the hotel, welcome dinner and overnight stay.
FIFTH DAY: Guided visit of Santarcangelo di Romagna, wonderful medieval town and birthplace of Pope Clement XV which is dedicated to the Ganganelli Arch. Visit to a traditional printshop, which still uses a seventeenth-century wooden mangle to stretch the canvas, and then printed by hand to rust. Transfer to a farm and cooking lesson to learn all the secrets of the culinary traditions of Romagna, preparing piadina, cassoni (stuffed flatbread) and tagliatelle. Lunch tasting what has been prepared, accompanied by wines of the estate. After lunch visit at the winery and vineyards of the estate. Transfer to San Marino, the most ancient Republic of the world. Time at leisure to discover the town and to do some shopping. Dinner at leisure and overnight stay at the hotel.
SIXTH DAY: Guided visit of Mondaino, on the border between Romagna and Marche region. Walk in the village between ancient legends to arrive at the Old Mill Jesuit hosting a manufacturer of Fossa cheese. Tasting of the cheese with local wine. Transfer to Montegridolfo to meet a producer of olive oil, and lesson to learn how tasting the olive oil. Traditional lunch. In the afternoon transfer to Gradara, where according to the Divine Comedy the tragic love story between Paolo and Francesca took place. Guided tour of the castle and of the medieval village. Return to the hotel, dinner at leisure and overnight stay at the hotel.
SEVENTH DAY: Last day dedicated to visit Urbino, authentic Renaissance jewel and UNESCO Heritage. The guide will lead you to discover the Urbino Ducal Palace, a veritable banquet of artists during the reign of Federico da Montefeltro. Lunch in a “trattoria” with traditional products.
