Then visit to his wonderful Acetaia, where the Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Reggio Emilia is made since long time. SECOND DAY: Breakfast at the hotel. Discovering how the famous Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese is produced in a local farm. Lunch at the end of the visit, tasting local culinary specialties. Afternoon at leisure in Reggio Emilia city centre: the Cathedral, the Basilica of San Prospero, the astonishing Valli Municipal Theatre and time to make some shopping and to discover boutiques of local artisans. Special dinner in the restaurant of the most well-known chef of the city. Overnight stay at the hotel.
THIRD DAY: Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, guided visit to the studio of a famous jewelry maker, located in the historical center of the city. You will follow the phases that lead to the creation of unique jewels, that now you can find in the windows of the most famous museums of the world such as the Louvre, the Vatican Museums, Versailles and the National Geographic in Washington. Combination of preciousness and fantasy, of classic and modern, it is what you can notice observing precious stones that marry poor materials up to tar, baroque Japanese pearls of colored water that blend with hand-cut stones, worked in India along the streets of Rajasthan, with enamels and rutilated quartzes. This talented jewelry designer also boasts important collaboration with international Maison. At the end of the visit, lunch in a bistrot in the historical centre. In the afternoon, visit to another important craftsman from Reggio Emilia, who offers innovative furniture and architecture solutions revisiting the ancient “cocciopesto” technique.
