Contemporary in Reggio Emilia is clearly distinguishable for its great artistic setting, which already starts crossing the motorway: the wonderful Santiago Calatrava’s bridge surrounds the city and its landscapes.

An other contemporary art project you can not miss, and that is closely linked to the history of this city, it is certainly the Maramotti Collection: a Contemporary Art Collection of the founder of Max Mara, Achille Maramotti. A set of works that marks the biography of the founder and his passion for art. The collection includes several hundred works made since 1998 up today. More than two hundred of them with a permanent exhibition, representing in depth some of the major Italian and international artistic trends of the last sixty years.
